April In The Sun

This is a prologue, a bridge to unfiction.

Loosely based on the previous record DAMNED IN LOVE & LIFE, April In The Sun retells and adds to its story by turning it into a fictional piece. A little less personal and more exaggerated and aggressive. Since DAMNED is a real story based on real people, I really want to get away from it out of respect to who I sung about. Even then, most of the lyrics here are still real to me - Just not the "obsessive love" parts now.

To rewrite the story in a way that is still unique, hurtful, and distinguishable to the other works on my discography.

Recorded through February and March, this EP is where I lean more for a lo-fi, acoustic sound. A new way to experiment and explore new sounds again to make way for more experimentation on bigger projects. It was real tricky to get things planned out and to actually execute them in a tight schedule with school and all, since this record had me out of my comfort-zone with production, vocals, and aesthetics.

It's not a perfect production or execution in the slightest, but I did my best as an independent artist with no time in their hands. Hopefully I have more time for the next project.

April, the month of new beginnings.
For new pain to enter the body.
